The Odeon Cinema Beckenham has decided to cease operations and will be closing in December 2026.

Citygate Church, the owners of the building, are making an application to Bromley Council to change the use of the building to a place of worship. The proposed works seek to return the Art Deco cinema to a single auditorium and uncover original internal decoration, better revealing the significant features of the listed building.

On this website you can find out more about the proposals which have been discussed with Bromley Council on a pre-planning application basis, and will form part of our planning application in due course.
